5 Dollars

My life as an at-home momma of 3 amazing kids...it's kind of like shoveling snow in a blizzard.

It's signed, sealed and delivered!

Keithen's acceptance letter to the EXCEL program came this weekend. We weren't expecting to hear from the school until this time next month, but his letter came on Saturday. He has been designated in the top 5-7% of all first graders in our school system and will enter into an accelerated classroom next year for 2nd grade. They'll be working above grade level on most subjects and doing lots of interesting and exciting projects during the school year. This summer he'll attend a special camp for 3 hours a day for 2 weeks to get to know the other kids in the program. The camp is supposed to make the transition to a new school easier for them so that they will know people in their classroom and have a chance to meet their teacher. We're very excited and proud of him. I think he's excited about the prospect of school being more challenging for him next year. I know he seems very interested in the projects they will do because he has enjoyed the few book reports and such that he has had to do this year.
