My life as an at-home momma of 3 amazing kids...it's kind of like shoveling snow in a blizzard.

Trick or Treat!

By 5:00 Ruby had made a full recovery and was her usual bubbly self again. She was all ready to go out trick-or-treating but decided that she'd be a princess without her crown. If Keithen and Kaylee stood too close to the door at a house, she'd move them out of the way, saying, "Move...can't open the door!" She wanted to ring all the doorbells but did pretty well taking turns with Keithen. Lots of people thought she was very cute, saying, "Trick-or-treat" and "thank you" followed by "happy Halloween!" every time. There was such excitement in her voice that a people came to join their spouses at the door to see "who that voice belonged to."

Kaylee obviously had a blast. You could hear her between houses saying, "no light...that one has a light...that means CANDY and we can go trick-or-treating! oh yeah!" Her excitement and amazement at the idea of free candy was very evident! A lot of people thought she was an aligator or a dragon instead of a stegasaurus. (The fairy costume got thrown by the wayside when our neighbor brought over this old dino costume for her a couple of weeks ago.) Woe be to those who guessed wrong, because she roared at many of them when she corrected them! LOL!

Keithen was the leader of the pack and wanted to speed ahead of us. They had gone over trick-or-treat rules at school and he knew the hours were from 6:00 to 8:00. Three kids showed up at our house at 8:02 and he almost told them to go away, LOL! I heard several "it's Harry Potter" comments as we walked past other trick-or-treaters. I think several were discussing how much he actually looked like the boy wizard.
