5 Dollars

My life as an at-home momma of 3 amazing kids...it's kind of like shoveling snow in a blizzard.

September 11, 2005

Last night, when they played the National Anthem during the Colts game, I cried and cried. Patriotic music has had so much more meaning for me over the past four years, but hearing it on the anniversary of our nation's greatest tragedy brought out so many raw emotions for me.

During dinner we talked a lot about the people who were lost and the great bravery and sacrifice of the people on the fourth plane. It's good to see our children begin to understand the significance of such important and tragic days in history. I think Keithen was a little awed by the tale of bravery of the passengers on that final flight.

Families and friends of those who lost loved ones on 9/11 and those who have lost soldiers in the war since, our thoughts and prayers are with you. Your sacrifice will not be forgotten.
