On the first day of Advent, my Grandma gave to me...
Every year Grandma Dollar puts together Advent boxes for all 10 grandchildren. It's usually some kind of reuseable plastic storage bin that she has filled with all kinds of small gifts, one for each day in December leading up to Christmas. Each day we write what the gift was on the calendars that are attached to the top of the boxes.
Our boxes have been stashed under the tree for a few days now. Each morning the kids have asked, "Do we get our presents today?" Today, December 1st, the answer was finally, "YES!"
Today the girls each got a little ring today (pink for Kaylee and blue for Ruby, of course) and Keithen got a little Matchbox truck. Kaylee has decided her ring could be a magic one like Princess Dora's red ring. Keithen's truck is waiting right inside the front door for him to return from school.
Unfortunately, there weren't really any good pictures of Ruby this morning since she hasn't been feeling well. Last night, around 1:30 in the morning, she woke up with a bit of a fever. She's still looking a bit worn down today. Hopefully she'll get a little extra sleep in and be feeling better quickly.

She seemed to be back to normal as of about 4:00 yesterday afternoon. She was bubbly and playful all evening.
